  1. Introduction of Nitinol 

   Nitinol is a binary alloy composed of nickel and titanium. In addition to its unique shape memory function, Nitinol also has a series of excellent properties and is a very excellent functional material.

  1. Shape memory characteristics. 

Nitinol is deformed by external force at a certain temperature, and can keep the shape after removing the external force, but can automatically return to the original shape at certain temperature.

  1. Hyperelasticity.

 The superelasticity of Nitinol can change with the change of heat treatment conditions. When the Nitinol wire is heated to more than 400℃, the superelasticity begins to decrease.

3)Corrosion resistance. 

Nitinol is widely used in the medical field because its corrosion resistance is better than the best medical stainless steel.

  1. Biocompatibility. 

Although nickel has carcinogenic effect, titanium dioxide on the surface of Nitinol acts as a barrier to inhibit the release of nickel, which makes Nitinol have good biocompatibility.

  1. Good shock absorption. 

 The initial vibration amplitude of the superelastic Nitinol wire is only half of that of the stainless steel wire.
